Alternative Methods for Measuring the Activity of Signalling Proteins
26 Oct 2009: This application note by R&D Systems describes alternative methods for measuring the levels or activity of signalling molecules. A range of kits are presented, including the Cell-Based ELISA which permits the simultaneous detection of two proteins in the same microplate well without the need for lysate preparation and the DuoSet ICIP-Kinase Assays which can be used to detect changes in the levels of protein or changes in its phosphorylation state.

Old Assays, New Instrument ELISA; NADH and NADPH Conversion; DNA and Protein Quantitation
 21 Apr 2008: This application note demonstrates how four commonly used absorbance assays have been carried out on the Omega microplate reader (ELISA, DNA and Bradford protein quantitations, as well as NADH and NADPH conversions). With the ability to read a UV/Vis spectrum (220-850 nm) at a resolution of 1, 2, 5, or 10 nm in about 1 second/well, the Omega can do absorbance assays never before imagined.
